Shelby Jean Johnson, 80, of Main Street, Frenchburg, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born in Grundy, Virginia on January 22, 1938 the daughter of the late Wallace and Bertha Stiltner. She was owner of the Corner Restaurant and the widow of Jack D. Johnson.
She is survived by one son, Jeffery Johnson of Frenchburg, KY; two brothers, Bill (Charlotte) Stiltner and Wallace “Babe” (Jenny) Stiltner both of Frenchburg; a sister, Shirley Shaw of Coolidge, AZ; four grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Allison Johnson; four great grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Kevin Gibson, Josh Gibson and Sarah Charlene Gibson also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, JoJo Johnson, a sister, Evelyn Heizer; and three brothers, Herman “Monk” Stiltner, Clinton Stiltner and Olan Stiltner.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel In Frenchburg with Rev. Alan Ratliff officiating and burial following in the Agee Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday evening from 5-8 pm at the Taul Funeral Home in Frenchburg. Pallbearers will be Rick Burkett, Jim Lawson, Paul Taylor, Doug Peck, Terry Simpson, Kelly Stull and Mike Combs. Honorary pallbearers will be Harley Branham, Jason “Chunk” Stull, Ray Wells, James Tallarigo and Gary Shrout.
