James R. Furey, 76, passed away on July, 3rd, 2018 at Edward hospital in Naperville, IL with his daughter Christine Moerle by his side, after an 18 month battle with cancer.
He is survived by his brother Timothy Aines, his daughter Christine Moerle, son-in-law Mark Moerle, daughter Melissa Furey and granddaughter Sara Ann Moerle.
He is preceded in death by his sister Arlene E. Furey, mother June Aines, and father Robert Furey.
James was a member of the VFW, a decorated Vietnam Veteran and a United States Marine, having served from 1959 to 1963.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations are requested for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Private services will be held at Hann Funeral Home from 9am to 1pm on July 13th in Bridgeview, Illinois for family and VFW members only.
Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
