Brian David Callahan, age 71, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Bath VA. Brian was born in Rochester NY a son of the late Harold and Pauline (Tamborini) Callahan. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer A. Callahan of Horseheads; sister and brother-in-law Mary Theresa and R. Phillip Johnson of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law William K. and Christine Callahan of Frisco TX; grandson Geoffrey T. Callahan of Elmira; niece Kerry Johnson with children, Alexandra, Kristofer, Michael and Benjamin Saxe; nephew Matthew (Gina) Callahan; nephew Michael (Lili) Callahan with son Ethan; niece Charlene Callahan; special friend Susan Cogswell. Brian was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1966. He was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam war. Brian retired from Hardinge, Inc. after 34 years of service. He was an avid golfer, loved to travel, and kayak with his friends. Active in the community he was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, the Arctic League and Eldridge Park. Brian touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was kind, generous and the most genuine person with a true love of life.
