She was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Bryan Coleman.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rollie L. Dean; two sons, Darren Dean (Nicki) and Greg Dean; three grandchildren, Shelly, Beau and Dylan Dean; her brother, John Coleman (Mary); three special cousins, Charrotte Ann Dashill, Sue Boyer and Penny Low; two nieces, Shelly West (Rick) and Amy Jo Marshall (Dereck).
Joann retired as the administrative secretary for Dr. Karen Goeller after many years of service with the Vigo County School Corporation. She loved to swim and especially watch her grandkids swim in their pool.
The family would like to thank Southwood Healthcare Center, especially the staff on the Reflections wing for their compassionate care. They would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their support.
It is requested that donations in Joann's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave.-Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Per her wishes there will be no visitation. Services will be private. Joann will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
