Mrs. Foulks Died On Friday At Stockton
Mrs. Abbie Mae Foulks, widow of the late O. D. Foulks, passed away on Friday night, March 25th, at her home near Stockton, following an illness of about two weeks.

Mrs. Foulks was born November 30, 1852, at Elkhart, Indiana. She came of sturdy, Middle-West pioneer stock. She received her education in Pennsylvania schools, being graduated from the State Normal School at Shippensburg at an early age. While living at Carlisle she met her late husband, who was then a student at Dickinson College. Her marriage to Mr. Foulks took place at Carlisle, upon his graduation from Dickinson.

More than forty years ago Mr. and Mrs. Foulks came to Worcester County and located near George's Island Landing, about two miles from Stockton, where they resided until their respective deaths.

Mrs. Foulks was a member of Gunby Presbyterian Church, Stockton. She was a pious Christian woman, and a gentle lady of refinement and education, equable in disposition, and retiring and gentle in manner. She always manifested deep interest in local, in State and National affairs, and was well informed on these matters. She was a typical American mother, devoted to her family and to their welfare and happiness. She leaves a host of friends and relatives to regret her passing away.

Mrs. Foulks is survived by two sons, Mr. Joe Foulks, of Aberdeen, Maryland, and Mr. Hubert Foulks, who resides at the Foulks home, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Lou Green, of Darby, Pa.

Funeral services were held in Gunby Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Herman Bischoff, of Rehoboth. The body was laid to rest in the family lot of the adjoining churchyard.

The pallbearers were the following: Messrs. I. J. Hancock, Thomas Townsend, Cassius P. Jones, H. B. Mason, Gus Harris and Joshua J. Hudson.
