Robert Francis Betz left this world Wednesday, July 3, 2018. As a general surgeon, he served Newton County citizens for 33 years, retiring in 2003. Dr. Betz was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen. He is survived by his wife, Diana; his identical twin brother, Richard; his three daughters: Dian Jones and her son, Jameson of Neosho; Karen Betz of Miami Beach, FL; and Maria Franklin, her husband Greg of Neosho; their children Felicia, Jacob, Ashley, and Alexis and their families. Also deep in his affections were four stepchildren, numerous step grandchildren and one step great grandson.

Rosary will be held 5:30 Friday July 6 at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, with visitation immediately following until 7 pm. His funeral mass will be 10 am Saturday, July 7 at St. Canera Catholic Church, Neosho with Father Samson Dorival officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Pierce City.
