Vernon “Verno” Hall, 33, of Ramsey, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born June 18, 1985 in Springfield, IL. Vernon lived in the Pana & Ramsey areas his entire life and was a graduate of Ramsey High School. He also attended the National Pipe Trades vocational school to become a welder. He was working as a millwright for Jacobs Field Services in Decatur. Vernon was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, dancing, playing pool, his truck, shooting guns & fishing. He loved his dogs, being with his family, and the holidays, especially the 4th of July, which was his favorite. Vernon loved his son, Brock, and spent every minute that he could with him.
He is survived by his mother, Susan (Schmitz) Cooley, Ramsey, IL; son, Brock Hall, Ramsey, IL; fiancé, Brittany Cox, Ramsey, IL; sister, Bayli Jo Cooley, Ramsey, IL; grandparents: Jeannie Schmitz, Pana, IL; Janet Chaney, Pana, IL; Sheila Cox, Pana, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins; and Brittany’s parents, Brian & Michelle Lebon, Pana, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph Schmitz, Donny Cox Sr., Larry Chaney & Larry Hall.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
