After growing up on his family farm in Cumberland Head, N.Y., with his three sisters, in 1958 Jim met the love of his life, Gail (Bechard) Coon and married on Jan. 3, 1959.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Crooker and his son, Jeffery Coon.
Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gail Bechard Coon; his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Danielle Coon, son-in-law Charlie Crooker; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marge (Royce) Pombrio, Marilyn (Bob) Dumas, a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Marvin Pombro; a special cousin, Bobbby and Donna Cross.
