Daughter of John Peyton and America 'Turner' Turner.
Married 1st William "Willie" Bellamy, 2nd Benjamin Franklin Bowling (Willie and Ben were first cousins).
(My Aunt America had told me that when she was young, her mother Martha Jane ‘Bowling’ Bellamy and her dad James Jim” Bellamy, and she had gone up to the cemetery so grandpa could visit his mother’s grave. Aunt America said that was the first time that she had ever seen her dad cry. My mom Martha Jane ‘Bellamy’ Stamper, my sister Gloria, and I went up to visit the cemetery, we were unable to locate Sallie and Ben’s gravesites, grandma said she was told (this was years later) that there had been a mud slide and some of the trees had fallen, she thought possibly the graves might have been cover over with mud.)
