Mr. Lonnie Thompson, 70, died on July 1, 2018 at University Medical Center.
He was born on December 2, 1947 to the late Estus Lefroie Thompson Sr.
and Leona Jordan Thompson.
He was retired as a Heavy Machine Operator. He enjoyed woodwork, painting,
was a shade tree mechanic and an all around “jack of all trades”.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, twin brother, Donnie Thompson,
Lefroie Thompson, Estus Thompson Jr., Jimmy Ray Thompson and Danny Thompson;
sisters, Mary Francis and Mary Louise.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thompson; daughters, Sandra Miller and husband, Robert,
Pat Hess and husband Mike, Becky Hartley and husband Chris, Sabrina Parker and husband, Stewart,
Michelle Slade, Melissa Hawes and husband Keith; and son Lonnie Dwayne; sisters, Laverne Berthelot,
Pauline Ivy, Olline Abshire, Alline Watkins and brother, Glen Thompson. He is also survived by
19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
