Johann Fredrich Schieber was born on 27 June1835, in Fornsbach, Backnang, Württemberg, Germany. His parents were Johann Christian Schieber Sr and Magdalena Jung. He married Barbara Storr on 3 January 1858, in Posey County, Indiana. They were the parents of seven children. He died on 22 July 1896, in Posey County, Indiana, at the age of 61, and was buried in Belle Fontaine Cemetery, Posey County, Indiana.
