Robert Allen Wishart Sr., 94, of Leavittsburg, OH was reunited with his wife in heaven on July 4, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Joe's. He was born March 1, 1924 in Sharpsville, PA, a son of the late Edward Wishart Sr. and the late Florence (Hogue) Wishart. On January 18, 1947 he married the love of his life Alice Ruth Haines, with whom he spent 69 wonderful years until her passing on March 31, 2016.

He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School class of 1942. Immediately after graduating Robert left to join the US Navy, where he was a Motor Machinist's Mate. After the war he came back to Warren, married Alice and started working for the Tribune Chronicle. Robert always had an interest in electronics. He used to repair tube radios as a young man. He created a small side business repairing TV's and radios, Wishart's TV Service. Because of his prior electronics experience, Robert was familiar with how to work on the computer systems at the Tribune Chronicle, which back in that day took up a whole room. After 43 years he retired from the Tribune.
Robert was a member of First Community Church of Leavittsburg, and loved maintaining the flower beds at the church. He was also a 60 plus year member of the Old Erie Lodge #3 F&AM. Robert was never one to sit still and stayed active up into his 90's.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Robert A Wishart, Jr. of Howland, OH. and Tim D. Wishart of Leavittsburg, OH, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Lee Wishart Sr.; a daughter, Kathy Sue Wishart; and brothers, Edward Wishart Jr. and twins, Charles and Paul Wishart, with Paul dying during combat in World War II.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 9, 2018 at First Community Church of Leavittsburg, where Pastor John Jaros will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on July 9, 2018 at First Community Church of Leavittsburg. Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Twp., OH.

The family requests that material contributions be made to the First Community Church of Leavittsburg Building Fund, in his memory.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.
