Donald was a long time pastor at the First Baptist Church of Steelville, the First Baptist Church of Kennett, and other various churches throughout the country. He was a man of strong Christian faith and spent his life ministering to others in the churches and communities where he served. Donald was nonjudgmental and very accepting of everyone for who they were. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Donald was an active member and 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge of Farmington. During retirement, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, and being a cattleman on the farm. After all those years saving the "lost sheep", turns out he was a cattleman.
He is survived by five children, nine grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation was at Cozean Memorial Chapel on July 2, with funeral service at First Baptist Church of Farmington on July 3. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve Co. MO. Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305; or to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 401, Farmington, MO 63640.
