REYNOLDS, Louise C., 82, of Vinton, passed away Thursday, May 21, 1998, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Reynolds; parents, Abner A. and Ottie A. Chewning; brothers, Howard W. and Oscar A. Chewning; a sister, Eula C. Hall. She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and was retired from Smartwear Irving Saks and Chewning Grocery. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Sylvia Reynolds; two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Doug Adams, and Anita Reynolds; five grandchildren, Debbie Marsh, Terry Hough, Denise Spangler, Donna Phillips and Mike Adams; also seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Louis G. Chewning, A.A. (Jr.) Vestin Chewning, one sister, Gertrude Saunders; a special caregiver and friend, Elizabeth (Libby) Matherly. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m. May 28, 1998, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. William E. Hungate officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family residence and after 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home.
