W. V. Grant was an Assembly of God pastor and Voice of Healing Evangelist. He held tent meetings during the height of the Healing Movement in the 1950s. He also had a radio ministry and held "Faith Clinics" He eventually wrote 600 pamphlets on prayer and the Gifts of the Spirit. In 1956 he stepped down from the traveling ministry which had become too much for his health. In 1962 he published a magazine called The Voice of Deliverance, which eventually had 2,000,000 subscribers. He also headed a group of churches known as the International Deliverance Churches. In 1963 Grant bought the Old Oak Cliff Theater in Dallas, Texas and started Soul's Harbor Church. By the time of his death it had grown to have 2500 members.
