Howard Edgar Phillips, 85, of Sissonville, passed away June 24, 2018.

He was a retired welder with C&O Railroad and the Pipeliners Local Union 798.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Okel and Myrtle Phillips; sons, Eugene and John Phillips; brothers, Guy and Earnest Phillips; sisters, Mary Midkiff and Goldie McDougal.

Survivors include his daughters, Wilma Beane and husband David of Sissonville, Joyce Allen and husband Doug of South Charleston, and Sharon K. Diem and husband Karl of Lewisburg; sister, Bernadine Brumfield, and brother, Roy Phillips, both of St. Albans; nine grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday June 28, at Cunningham - Parker - Johnson Funeral Home, with Rev. Carl Casto officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery, Derricks Creek, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services.
