FRED CRANE IN FATAL ACCIDENT IN INDIANA
Former Homer Man Buried at Lucerne, Ind., Thursday Morning

Fred Crane, Lucerne, Ind., a younger brother of Joe Crane and Mrs. Dick Clutter, Homer, died in a Logansport, Ind., hospital Tuesday noon from injuries received in an automobile accident Sunday. Funeral services and burial were at Lucerne Thursday at 10:00 a. m. Mrs. Crane is in the hospital suffering from bruises, cuts and shock.
Mr. Crane moved to Illinois from Indiana with his parents when he was a young man, working on various farms here. He married Ruth Hall, a niece of Mrs. Elizabeth Umbenhowar and the couple moved to Danville from here more than 20 years ago. They moved to their Indiana home about six years ago.
Besides his brother and sister here, he is survived by four other brothers: Merle, Broadlands; Oliver, Kentland, Ind.; Frank, Galveston, Tex., and Charles, Lucerne. Three children and three grandchildren also survive.
