Richard C. Hedrick, 89, of Souderton, formerly of Harleysville, PA went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. His death was due to a head injury from a fall earlier in the week.

He was the loving husband of Shirley (Clemens) Hedrick. Rich was born in Ambler, PA to the late Elmer and Myrtle (Crouthamel) Hedrick.

He was a graduate of Souderton High School class of 1947. Throughout his working lifetime, Rich began with a huckster route and then was employed by Martin Century Farms, Nyce Mfg., Phillips & Jacobs, and Graphic Systems. In the late 1980’s he started his own business, Rich’s Repair Service.

He was a 50 year member of the MacCalla #596 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Souderton, PA. Rich was a 70 year member of Zion Mennonite Church and also a member of Philadelphia Glider Council, Hilltown, PA.

His personal interests included riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, flying sail planes, and riding horses. Rich will be remembered for his love of people.

In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his daughter, Cindy Langford and husband Dave of West Chester, PA; two granddaughters, Carrie Lutz and husband Steve of Telford, PA, Kristi Taylor of Spring City, PA; three great-grandsons, Zachary Taylor, Tyler and Trent Lutz; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Avery Taylor; a sister, Jeanette Gerhart and husband Richard of Telford, PA; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Hedrick of Sellersville, PA; four step daughters, Susan Moyer, Mary Bergey, Jean Shelly and Deb Brunk; eleven step grandchildren and ten step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor (Moyer) Hedrick, a son, R. Brent Hedrick, two brothers, Elmer Kenneth and Wilmer (Bud) Hedrick.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton, PA 18964. Friends may greet the family at a light luncheon following the service.

Private inurnment will take place at Zion Memorial Gardens.
