Jeremy S. Ellis, 34, of LaMoille died June 30, 2018, in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday in LaMoille Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial will conclude at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille.
Arrangements are by Garland Funeral Home, Walnut.
He was born June 25, 1984, in Princeton the son of Jeffrey and Rita (Wheeler) Ellis and had served in the Illinois Army National Guard. He married Jacqueline Gott on Aug. 6, 2011, in LaMoille.
Jeremy was employed as the Dixon Correctional Center as a Nursing Supervisor/Site manager for the past three years. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, golfing, playing bags and darts. He had graduated from Bureau Valley High School in 2002 and Sauk Valley Community College as a registered nurse in 2013. He was an honor graduate with his basic combat training class in 2016.
Survivors include his wife, Jaqueline; his children, Bailey Crouch and Alli Ellis, both of LaMoille; his parents, Jeff (Denise Frank) Ellis of Walnut and Rita (Gary) Hanna of Princeton; his sister, Bethany (Caroline Petrovick) Ellis of Melrose, Mass; stepsisters, Maggie (Colby) Oleson and Jessica (Drew) Biessman; stepbrothers, Will (Tara) Gross, Cooper (Miranda) Frank, Tyler Frank, Evan Frank, Ethan Frank; father and mother-in-law, Rick (Kim) Gott; sister in law, Briana Laskach; brother-in-law, Brandon Kopczyski; brother-in-law Jerimie (Kate) Gott; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Betty Ellis; Jonny and Wilma Wheeler; uncle Randy Wheeler; and cousins, Aaron Wheeler, Dan and Greg Smith.
