Of Desloge, passed away June 29, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born October 9, 1957, to the late Leroy and Betty Jean (Compton) Edgar. Dr. Edgar was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge since 1986 where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School. A graduate of Central High School in Park Hills, MO in 1976, Mineral Area College with an Associate Degree in 1978, the Missouri University with a Bachelors in Biology in 1980 and the University of Missouri Kansas City, School of Dentistry, D.D.S. in 1984. Dr. Edgar began his Dental Practice on East Main in Park Hills July 1984. Dr. Edgar was a member of the Mineral Area Study Club, Mizzou Alumni and an avid tennis enthusiast. Dr. Edgar and his wife Gwen, carried out seven medical mission trips to Senegal, West Africa, and Haiti during the past decade.
Dr. Edgar was survived by his wife, Gwen (Fitzgerald) Edgar; children, Jessica (Mrs. Neel) Patel of Kansas City, and Stephen Michael Edgar of Pittsburgh; two granddaughters, Cara and Claire Patel; brother, David Edgar and wife Judy of Park Hills; father and mother in-law, Doug and Nina Fitzgerald of Middlebrook; brother-in-law Neil Fitzgerald (Lisa); two sisters-in-law, Sammye Gail White (Dennis) and Scottye Adkins (Eric); several nieces and nephews also survive.
