Mr. Dennis Clyde Hodges, age 60, of Mount Airy, passed away on July 2, 2018. He was born on April 9, 1958 to the late Robert and Estelle Oakley Hodges. Mr. Hodges worked for the city of Mount Airy for 28 years and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his soul mate and fiancé of 36 years, Becky Baldwin; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim and Libby Hodges and Robert Hodges Jr; sisters, Theresa Vaughn and Jackie Jones; nephews, BJ Hodges and Justin Vaughn; nieces, Brooke Cherry, Stevie Hodges and Saprina Vaughn; great-nephews, Phoenix and Maverick Cherry; great-niece Arya Whitaker. In addition to his parents Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stephen Hodges and a great-niece, Penelope Whitaker. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Roger Mears. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12pm until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family would like to send a very special thanks to Kortnie Curry and Justin Floyd as well as Kenny and Karen Boardwine for all their help and kindness, as well as a very special thanks to the Davidson County E.M.S. and the Davidson County Sheriff Department.
