Lori Ann Quinn, 56, of Salisbury, Pa., died Friday, July 28, 2017.
Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 Union St., Salisbury, on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at 1:30 p.m.
Mother is 113706312∼Lori Ann Garlitz Quinn, age 56, died Friday, July 28, 2017, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Lori was born May 3, 1961, in Meyersdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Hazel Garlitz, of Salisbury. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Matthew Beachy.
Lori was a graduate of Salisbury-Elk Lick High School.
She is survived by two children, Ian Quinn (Katie) of Seven Springs, and Ronni Quinn, of Meyersdale, and two grandchildren, Emily Quinn and Elias Quinn. She is also survived by five siblings: Carla Beachy (Bill) of Ellicott City, MD; Donna Schrock (Richard, deceased) of Perry Hall, MD; Linda Leong (Wayne), of Springfield, VA; Thomas Garlitz (Jenifer) of Joliet, IL; and Mark Garlitz (Trish) of Salisbury. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lori was well known in Salisbury for having developed and maintained the salisburypa.com website, which provides a wealth of historical information and photos on the town history, in addition to photos and information on high school alumni going back several decades. She was an avid genealogist, focusing primarily on her mother's lineage. She was also gifted in both photography and counted cross stitch. Before her illness, she worked at the Comfort Inn in Grantsville, Md., as a desk clerk.
Cancer shortened Lori's life. Yet her life was rich, full of caring and laughter. It was filled, as well, with friends and family, who surrounded her with support and love during her brave final months.
