Bobby E. Bennett, 78, of Stockport, passed away at 5:49 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born March 2, 1940, in Pennsville, a son of the late William Bennett and Mary Mae Ramsey Bennett.

He worked at Finley Packing in McConnelsville, Taylor Woodcraft, was self-employed, and was a farmer. He was also a former member of the Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Bennett of McConnelsville, Kathy (Chris) Eddleblute of McConnelsville and Linda (Jimmy) Piatt of Chesterhill; one son, Tim (Kayanna) Bennett of Union, KY; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Sandy) Bennett of Corning; sisters, Georgia Watson of Dayton, Naomi Barnett of Zanesville, Adalene Thornburg of Newark, Shirley Miller of Letart, WV, Jean Baker of Pennsville, and Betty (David) Jarvis of Stockport; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Keith; sister, Leona Matson; and five stepsisters.

Friends called on the family on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.

Services were held Monday with David Jarvis, Sr. officiating.

Burial followed in Pennsville Cemetery.
