With the hands of his two sons, his daughter-in-law, and a niece stacked affectionately above his heart as a symbol of unity and love, the soul of Mr. Warren John Edwards, Sr. took flight on June 30th and left this saddened world.

Warren was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1928. (His family was making plans to celebrate his 90th birthday!)

He moved to Bucks County in his youth and would later play football (on both sides of the ball), and run track for Morrisville High School, where he graduated in 1946.

Through the Korean conflict, he was stationed in Japan where he earned the rank of Corporal. He would occasionally recall seeing the beautiful Mount Fuji far off in the distance.

Back in the states, he learned and mastered the vocation of welding and later he focused his exceptional skills on welding military aircraft parts. His skill reached its zenith when he was employed to weld parts of the backpacks used by Apollo astronauts on the moon.

Warren John Edwards, Sr. is survived by his son Warren J., Jr. and his wife Deborah; his son William J. and his wife, Angela, and their children Brooke and William T.; his grandson Frank I. Scott IV and his wife Stephanie Icken, his granddaughter Denise E. Feger, her husband Shaun Feger and great-grandson Carson, and grandson Kenneth Warren and his wife Carolyn Martin Scott and great-grandson Everett.

Very sadly, Warren was predeceased by his lovely daughter Linda A. Scott and her beloved husband Frank I. Scott, III.

Warren enjoyed to great effect Sunday morning breakfast, fishing, conversation, golfing, the company of family and friends, listening to Willie Nelson, "Jeopardy!" with Alex Trebek, and a cold beer.

He is variously described by loved-ones as a man who was independent, jovial, wonderful, good-hearted, stern, caring, loving and genuine. Sometimes he was all of those things at once.

Most of all, he was a great Dad and a great Man who will be sorely missed.

Family and friends are invited to Warren's Life Celebration, Friday, July 6th, from 10-11am, at Dunn/Givnish of Langhorne, 378 South Bellevue Ave., and to participate in his Memorial Service at 11am. Interment will follow at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, where Warren will be laid to rest with full military honors.
