Parents Edward Franklin Trainham and Ruby Edna Gray
Reta J. Trainham Lewis, 81, aka “MaMa” went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 1st, 2018. She was born on December 14, 1936 in Vera TX to Edward Franklin and Ruby Gray Trainham.
Services will be on Thursday, July 5th at 11:30 am at First Baptist Church Holliday TX. Brother Darryl Sewell will be officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Reta will be in state at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls for anyone who wishes to come say goodbye to her.
Reta worked for Beacon National Insurance Company for over 20 years where she retired from on May 26, 2001. Reta also was very active in Sunrise Optimist Fastpitch for girls. She coached a host of kids from 3rd grade all the way to High School and watched them graduate! She was very active in volunteering in her community with her church and with the AARC. She had a special place in her heart for all the people she came in contact with.
Reta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend. She married Joseph C. Lewis on December 7th, 1957. She is survived by her brother Bobby Trainham of Euless, TX., wife Louise, sisters-in-law Nellie Trainham and Delores Trainham, two children David, wife Alicia, 2 sons Michael and Christopher. Dana Ricketts, two children Amy Bennos and Andy Ricketts. She was recently blessed with her first great granddaughter Isabelle Grace Bennos and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends whom she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers Kenneth and Charles Trainham.
In lieu of flowers family is requesting donation to either Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home (funeral expenses) or FBC Holliday.
