Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Steele, 67, of Troy township, mother of Harvey E. Ott, Almont, were held last Monday in the First Baptist Church, Rochester, with interment in East Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Mount Clemens. Her body was at the Pixley Funeral Home until the hour of service. she passed away last Thursday morning at Pontiac General Hospital.
Mrs. Steele had been a resident of the Rochester area for 26 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Rupp of Big Beaver, Mrs. Mary Bishop, Washington, and Mrs. Gladys Thomas of Rochester: four sons, Harold Ott of Grand Rapids, Oho, Harvey Ott of Almont, Lawrence Ott, Pontiac, and Bennie Ashton of Delaware: 24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A brother, John Bubb of Clyde, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
