Obituary for Harold Osborn Dean
Harold Osborn Dean, 85, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born to Ruben O. and Mary E. (Osborn) Dean on November 18, 1932 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Harold lived in Grand Prairie until he graduated from Grand Prairie High School and in 1950 moved to Tulsa. He met Mary Massey and they were married on November 16, 1957. They had a daughter, Susan, in 1958 and a son, Ho, in 1960. The family owned a small farm in Arkansas in the '70's and '80's. Harold was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service 32 years. Once back in Tulsa Harold worked for a friend at Metro Structural retiring in 2015.

He was a Golden Glove boxer, played fast pitch softball, and raced cars on any dirt track he could find. And after racing himself, loved to watch his son and grandson race. Harold enjoyed many years of fishing with his son, Ho and good friend, Tommy and loved to tell stories and reminisce about the good old days. Anybody who knew Harold, knew he could tell a story. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of his life.

Harold is survived by his wife: Mary; daughter: Susan Sparks and husband David; son: Ho Dean and wife Tanya; grandchildren: Brianna Young and husband Jesse, Greg Sparks, Brandon Dean and wife Lisa, Emily Chambers and husband Jerry, Rhiannen Hill and husband Tanner, Garrett Dean and Kenten Perez; great grandchildren: Tyler Dean, Alli Dean, Lily Young, Evie Young, Erika Youngblood, Olivia Chambers, Chase Chambers, Nate Sparks and Emma Hill.

Harold will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Viewing will be 1:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, OK 74120. Family will be available from 3:00-7:00 pm.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday July 2, 2018 at Winnetka Heights Baptist Church 1003 W. 49th St., Tulsa, OK 74107.
