The current grave marker was created in 2009, shortly after Nellie passed away. The second photo shows the original headstone that she placed at the grave of her husband Fred, when he suddenly passed away in 1953, and with names and dates inscribed as shown. Nellie, of course, had no idea that she would live such a long life; she died just 3 months short of her 107th birthday, 9-plus years into the 21st century! When the original headstone was replaced, the “Stevenson” from the original marble stone was placed at the foot of their graves.
