Barbara graduated from Lemoyne High School, Central Pennsylvania Business School and earned an associate degree from Harrisburg Area Community College. She retired as a secretary for the Borough of New Cumberland; she was a 50-year member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. She was a long-time volunteer at New Cumberland Public Library. Barbara took great pleasure in playing bridge and doing needlework. She kept physically active by swimming at least twice a week throughout most of her life.
Surviving are two sons, Mark L. Hale (Silvia) of Camp Hill, and Curtis C. Hale (Theresa) of Wadell, AZ; a daughter, Pamela H. McGuire (John) of Whitehouse Station, NJ; a daughter-in-law Michelle M. Hale of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2018, at 11AM in the chapel of Bethany Village EAST, 325 Wesley Dr., Mechanicsburg, 17055 (use door 36 – "Bethany Court" entrance). A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
