Bryan was born in Augusta, GA on June 30, 1958 to the late Lola S. Cox, who passed away in 2014, and William S. “Sam” Thompson, who passed away in 1961.
Bryan was an outstanding Rugby athlete for 35 years. He loved his family and friends, especially his sweet little dog, Shiner.
In addition to his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by: his stepfather, Ruford Cox, in 1989; one brother, William “Bill” Thompson, in 2017; and one half-brother, Thomas “Tommy” Cox, in 1991.
Survivors include: one sister-in-law, Teresa Thompson, of New Port Richey, FL; cousins, Randy (Teresa) Robinson, Mike (Linda) Robinson and Marsha Robinson; and close family friends of 25 years, Debbie Davenport and Brent McCutcheon.
The family of Bryan Thompson will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Friday, June 22, 2018, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 7 PM with Chaplain Anna Butler officiating. Pallbearers include Bryan’s Rugby teammates. Family and friends are asked to meet at Roselawn Memorial Gardens by 11:50 AM Saturday for a 12 PM service.
