Carolyn was born on January 7, 1934 in Grayville, IL, the daughter of Fletcher and Anna (Meeks) Brewster.
Carolyn married Darrell E. Garrett on November 2, 1951 in Mt. Carmel, IL.
Carolyn loved teaching children about Jesus in her Sunday School classes and took pleasure in fishing. She enjoyed making crafts and was a vendor at craft shows. Carolyn was known for the wreaths that she crafted and sold. Her grandchildren have fond memories of outings to the woods for materials for her wreaths. She was a devoted wife of 66 years to her husband, Darrell.
She is survived by husband, Darrell Garrett of Olney; daughter, Darrelyn Eichhorst and husband Steve of Olney; grandchildren, Scott Eichhorst of Olney and Seth Eichhorst of Carlinville, IL; sister-in-law, Marlene Brewster of LaCrescent, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Forrest Thomas, Marks Scott, Allison, Fletcher Jr., and Larry James Brewster; and grandson, Stephen Eichhorst.
