Olive R. Franta (nee McGarvey), 75 of Myrtle Beach, S.C. died on June 26th, 2018.
Olive was born on January 12, 1943 in Philadelphia PA, daughter to the late William and Ruth McGarvey. She married her dearly departed husband Fred J. Franta on September 8, 1991 and moved to Myrtle Beach SC.
In life, Olive worked at General Motors in Trenton, NJ. She enjoyed golfing, reading, dancing, and acting. She had been in many plays in the Myrtle Beach area. She loved to spend time with her best friend Clare Guilmartin, her children and grandchildren.
Olive is survived by her children Ruth E. Tomlinson and William H. Tomlinson. Her two grandsons, John L. Franta and Matthew T. Franta. Her brother William C. McGarvey (Nancy). She was a loving Aunt to Linda (McGarvey) Daywalt, Thomas McGarvey, and Amy (McGarvey) Bowe.
Interment will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newton, PA 18940.
