Johnny Dean McDaniel, 57, of West Columbia, WV, passed away June 28, 2018, in Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio, following an extended illness.
He was born June 9, 1961 in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late John Harve McDaniel and Hattie Jane (McDermitt) McDaniel of West Columbia, WV.
He was a graduate of Wahama High School and enjoyed hunting, golfing and tractor pulls. He was a welder and a member of the Millwright Local Union # 443 Parkersburg, WV. He attended the True Gospel Church, Letart, WV.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of 35 years, Catherine Marchell (Horner) McDaniel of West Columbia; daughters, Melynda (Matthew) Gregg of New Haven, Heather (Jason) Coburn of Columbus, OH and Jennifer (Buck) Knapp of Leon, WV; brother, David McDaniel and Sherry of West Columbia; sister, Mary Lewis and William of West Columbia, WV; grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaileah Coburn and Raegan and Jamielynn Knapp.
Service will be Tuesday, ~ 1 p.m. July 3, 2018 in the Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant, WV. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
