Rev. Father Ernest Navor Candelaria, C.S.J., was the Pastor of Saint Junipero Serra Catholic Church in Lancaster, California, from 1999 until 2008, when he retired as Parochial Vicar. He was born December 29, 1932 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His parents, Abel and Clorinda Candelaria, had two other sons and a daughter. A member of the Josephite Fathers, before his pastorate at St. Junipero Serra parish Father Ernest taught at Paraclete High School, also in Lancaster.
