Peep was born Feb. 5, 1931 in Gettysburg, PA; he was the son of the late Robert Anthony and Camille V. (Felix) Sanders. He was the husband of the late Doris Joan (Hann) Sanders to whom he was married to for 62 years before passed Feb. 13, 2017.
Mr. Sanders was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean War surviving the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, and was honored to be a member of the Chosin Few. He worked several places throughout Adams County, including CE Williams and managed the Gettysburg Elks Club. He was a member of the Gettysburg American Legion and the VFW.
Peep is survived by his two sons, Mike Sanders, of Baltimore; Ron Sanders and his wife Laura of Hampstead, Md.; and three grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew, and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Uber.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. Burial with full military honors being presented by the Adams County Allied Veterans will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
