Steven Randall Lowery was born November 18, 1980 and a proud native of South Mississippi.

Steven was a loving father to his daughter, Destiny, and a devoted friend to countless others.
In his youth, he developed a passion for fast cars, rock music, and a sense of humor that could drop even the most stolid of demeanor to their knees with laughter. Fun and good times were a day-to-day fact of life for those fortunate enough to share in his company.

In 2008, he suffered an accident while on the river that left him wheelchair bound, with little control of his body. Still, in the face of such unimaginable hardship, Steven maintained his good heart, and humorous nature. Drawing his strength from the immense love he had for his daughter, Steven persevered through this dark time with dignity and steadfast character that never wavered. Regardless of the obstacles he faced, he was always able to smile and deliver a kind word to all that he encountered.

Though he endured much suffering in his later years, his spirit remained strong and unbroken, serving as an undying fire of inspiration to all that loved him. This is a feat beyond the reach of ordinary men.

On the evening of Wednesday, June 27, 2018, Steven said his final goodbye to his family and friends, leaving the body to which he was bound and moving on to a brighter existence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Sherry Lowery, and his sister, Becky.
Remaining in his life, he leaves his beloved daughter Destiny Lowery; brothers, Jimmy (Lori) and Kenny (Kim); and his sister, Sherry (Andy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
