Jack Manuel Thomason, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Jack was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 23, 1946 to the late Otis Thomason and Elizabeth Freeman. He retired as a Senior Chief after 21 years serving our country in the U.S. Navy.
Jack had a love for music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He also loved gospel music and singing at many nursing homes throughout Jacksonville. He enjoyed fishing and gardening as well.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Darlene Thomason; 3 sisters and 2 brothers also preceded him in death. He was a good and loving husband to his loving wife of 51 years, Lynda. Jack is also survived by his son, Shawn Thomason and his wife, Victoria and was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren.
Graveside services with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Navy will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 9th at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, lane # 2. Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Hospice Center in Mr. Thomason's memory.
