Elizabeth James Beasley, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in a local hospital.
Born to the late James Smiley and Zeloa Austin of Selma, Alabama, she was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Beasley, Jr.; daughter, Catherine Woods; son, Morris Birdsong; mother-in-law, Virginia Harris; grandson, Stacey Birdsong. She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Adrienne Scaife, Lisa (Melvin) Varnell, Natasha Ford, Gloria Erving of Marietta, GA; sons, Darrell Birdsong, Cornell (Stephanie) Birdsong, Samuel Lingo, William Hughley, Alvin Hughley and Tony Beasley of Atlanta, GA; daughters-in-law, Sheryl Birdsong and Valerie Birdsong; god-daughter, Elizabeth Elliot; devoted granddaughter, Cornescia Beasley; devoted grandson, Eddie Birdsong and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 12 noon at St. Paul AME Church with Pastor Kenneth Love as the eulogist.
Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
