"Marion C. Bowman, 82, of Derby, Vermont died peacefully surrounded by her loving family June 16, 2018 at her home in Derby. Mrs. Bowman was born on June 26, 1935 in Newport. She is the daughter of the late Archie and Hilda (Horskins) Phillips of Newport Center. On August 13, 1955 she married Gerald Bowman who predeceased her on August 8, 2008.

Marion was employed as a housekeeper at the North Country Hospital starting at it previous address on Highland Avenue and retiring from its present location after 25 plus years.

She enjoyed bowling, going out to dinner, dancing, listening to country music and watching her daughters play softball. Marion cherished her children. After Alzheimer's disease progressed whenever she saw any of her children, she would have a big smile.
