Ricky Wayne King, age 49, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on April 4, 1969, in Lexington, he was a son of Shirley McNees and the late David King, Jr. For over 35 years, Ricky was a self-employed carpet layer, working all over central Kentucky. Every year, he officiated arm wrestling at the Cynthiana Rod Run, and he loved to fish. Ricky will be remembered for always helping his family and friends and for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his: son, Jacob Allen (Laura) King, of Cynthiana; mother, Shirley McNees, of Cynthiana; siblings, Marilyn Casey, of Cynthiana, Loretta Allen, of Temple, Texas, David Allen King, of Morgan, Chester Lee King, of Bracken County, and Wanda Bennett and Michael Anthony King, both of Cynthiana; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his: stepfather, Clarence Berry McNees; and nephew, Johnny Beckett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Berry. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Pythian Grove Cemetery, in Berry. Memorials are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses.
