Michael was born to Willis Kuster and Barbara (Adams) Sears. He was raised in Decatur, NE and attended Decatur High School. Later he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kearney State College (University of Nebraska-Kearney)
On July 20-1974, Mike married Deborah Egging in Sidney, NE. The lived most of their lives in Dakota City running Hungry's Steakhouse.
After 37 years, Mike and Debbie returned to Decatur to farm full time. In addition to farming, Mike loved golfing, fishing and hunting.
He passed away peacefully, after a hard-fought battle with kidney disease.
