Jeanne M. Gordon, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her home in Sacramento, CA, after a long struggle with cancer. She was born on February 5, 1943 in Madison, WI to Richard and Lola (Chamberlain) Brey. Jeanne graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1961. She married Verlyn Gordon of Mount Horeb at Perry Lutheran Church in Daleyville, WI on November 3, 1961.
She moved with Verlyn and their 3 children to Glendale, CA in 1969, moved to Santa Clarita, CA in 1987, and then to Sacramento, CA in 2014. She worked for many years in the Los Angeles area for American Hospital Supply Corp., Baxter International, and Ernst & Young, LLP. Jeanne had a big heart and was always positive, caring, and helpful toward others. She was loved by her family, friends, and co-workers. She enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, crafting, reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, camping, and enjoying nature; especially watching birds.
Jeanne is survived by two of her children: Bruce Gordon and Angela Carpenter both of Sacramento, CA; six granddaughters: Emily, Carla, Julie Gordon all of Rigby, ID, Hannah Gordon of Sacramento, CA, and Makenzie and Madison Carpenter also of Sacramento, CA; brother: Ronald (Joni) Brey of Colombia, MO; sister-in-law: Donna Brey of Stoughton, WI; brother-in-law: Donald (Kathleen) Gordon of Waunakee, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Verlyn; a son: Scott Gordon; sisters: Helen Wood and Carla Arenas; brothers: Robert Brey and Donald Brey; brother-in-laws: Hulet Wood and Dale Gordon; sister-in-laws: Virginia Brey and Elmere Topper.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Chapel, Mt. Horeb, WI with Mr. Donald Gordon officiating. A gathering with family and friends will be from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM on Saturday at the chapel. The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home is assisting the
