Hazel Marie Hill, 77, of Eaton, CO went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 20, 2015 at her home after battling pancreatic cancer.

She was born March 11, 1938 in Florence, CO to Oscar and Mattie Cox. She graduated from Liberty School in Joes, CO in 1956.

On Nov. 24, 1956 Hazel married her high school sweetheart, Glen L. Hill. They were married for 56 years. Hazel and Glen lived in many places in Colorado, moving from Aurora to Cope, Fort Morgan, Greeley and finally in 1968 to the Galeton area. They owned and operated the Galeton Garage for 40 years.

Hazel became a Christian at the age of 11. She was an active member of First Assembly of God of Greeley. Hazel was a Sunday School teacher, missionette and women's ministries leader. She was caring, kind and compassionate to everyone she met. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.

Hazel is survived by her children, Roger (Sheryl), Dale (Lori), Larry (Kathy) and Glenna (Saul) Madrid all of the Galeton area; sisters, Loretta Reed of Jefferson City, MO and Maxine Britton of Dillon, CO; brothers, Lloyd Cox of Bennett, CO, Alfred (Vicki) Cox of Burlington, CO, and Kenneth (Melinda) Cox of Haxton, CO; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; mother and father-in-law; sisters and brothers; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 at Eaton Cemetery followed by a celebration of Hazel’s life at 11 a.m. at Greeley First Assembly of God, 3000 West 16th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
