Robert H. Blythe, age 66, of Troy, OH passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Bob was born on January 22, 1952 in Sidney, OH to Imogene (Kinslow) Blythe Zwiebel and the late Hassel W. Blythe.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Hassel and his step-father: Carl C. Zwiebel. In addition to his mother: Geanie, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Jennifer E. (Klopfenstein) Blythe; sons and daughters-in-law: Matthew and Amanda Blythe of Troy and Tyler and Amy Blythe of Cincinnati; daughter and son-in-law: Andrea and Michael Murtha of Playa Del Rey, CA; grandchildren: Hayden, Cameron and Brooklyn Blythe and Lily and Connor Murtha; sister and brother-in-law: Lana and Roger Buehrer of Las Vegas, NV; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman and Virginia Klopfenstein of Jackson Center; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Bob graduated from Jackson Center High School in 1970 and Ohio Northern University in 1975 with a degree in pharmacy. Bob has served as a Pharmacist with Upper Valley Medical Center for over 40 years.

Bob was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy where he served as a member of the chancel choir and was a former member of the Trustees, Staff-Parish Relations Committee and a former senior high youth advisor. Bob was very active in the Greater Sidney Area Emmaus community and served in various capacities including Lay Director and Chair of Board.

Bob was especially known for his generous heart, big hugs, infectious smile and distinctive hat. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 110 West Franklin Street, Troy, OH with Rev. Dave Leckrone and Rev. Robert Lybarger officiating. Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
