Parents: Elmer C Beyerle and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bollinger Beyerle

Rhea attended the University of Akron (1920-1924), attaining a higher education degree in an era when not many women did. She met and married fellow student George Burt Grimm (1896-1994) in Summit County, OH, on 26 Mar 1922. The couple, initially childless, had a heart for children, legally adopting my father Donald Eugene (Murphy) and his older sister Janice Lee (Murphy) on May 4, 1942. Rhea was a schoolteacher and a devout Christian who was active in her church, Chillum Heights Gospel Hall, in northeastern Washington, DC. She directed a Greenbelt Summer Bible Camp and, with her husband George, supported ministries and close missionary friends over the years. Her husband George was a cartographer for the US government, and he built by hand their much-loved retirement home on several acres on Leigh Mill Rd, Great Falls, Virginia. Rhea preceded her husband in death in 1972.
