His passion for justice inspired him to become an officer of the law. He served in the cities of Uniontown, Demopolis, Marion and Selma. After many years of dedication, Clyde retired from law enforcement.
In April 2016, Carter accepted his call into the ministry under the leadership and guidance of Reverend Henry Christopher Minter of Isabella Missionary Baptist Church where he remained faithful until his death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Melvin Miller Funeral Service, 302 Pickens Street, Marion, Alabama. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Gospel Tabernacle COGIC, 2300 Summerfield Road, Selma, Alabama.
Interment to follow at Isabella Baptist Church Cemetery, 884 Co Rd 7, Tyler, Alabama.
