Mary Jane Sharp, age 82 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2108 at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park with Larry Tomlin officiating. Dorman Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Mary Jane was born in Crockett, Texas on August 5, 1935 to Sudie Mary Greer Sharp and Charlie Brightman Sharp.

She graduated from Lufkin High School in Lufkin, Texas. Mary Jane was a faithful member of Orangefield Church of Christ. She was a very talented seamstress and often worked doing alterations for a local fabric shop. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning about history. Mary spent a great deal of doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and watching her favorite westerns.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Brightman Sharp, Jr. and sister Ann Hall Sharp.

Those left to cherish Mary Jane's memory are her sister Susan Sharp of Orange, Texas, two brothers, James Sharp and his wife Elaine of Athens, AL and Samuel Earl Sharp of Lufkin, TX, aunt Virgie Dickerson of Broadus, TX. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
