Gary Caldwell, 65 of Roanoke, VA passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 over to heaven with Jesus. He was born September 29, 1952, son of the late Ben and Mary Caldwell. He is also preceded in death by his brother, William Caldwell. He had 5 sisters and 5 brothers. He was born and raised in Lockport, NY and lived in Jamestown, NY before moving to Virginia. He was a kindhearted, loving soul that was a friend to all he encountered. He liked to make people laugh. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and trains. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Keem Caldwell; daughter, DeAnna Caldwell Burke and husband Allan; granddaughter, Hailley Burke; grandsons, AJ and Codie Burke and wife Marissa; great grandchildren, Ahren, Ayden and Adrien.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Oakey’s South Chapel followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Feeding America Southwest Virginia, 1025 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153.
