Rachel "Evelyn" White Wilson passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born on May 8, 1937 in Lexington, AL. She was the daughter of Onie Mae and Lawrence White. Evelyn worked for over 20 years for D. Mitchell Self Broadcasting (WLAY) and then with Tom Jones Financial Services for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Onie Mae and Lawrence White; siblings, Debra Elizabeth White, Judith White Moon and Lawrence Hoyt White.
Her survivors include her son, Mike Wilson; daughter, Lori Stanfield Cargle (Tim); sisters, Betty Whitman and Stella Pettus; and grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Rachel Cargle and Trace Cargle.
Evelyn's visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Hal Howard officiating. She will be buried in Barnett Cemetery, Lexington, AL.
Pallbearers will be Mike Self, Tim Self, Dalton McCorkle, Stanley Jones, Mike Wilson and Brian Cargle.
