She is a graduate of Wingfield High School and worked in marketing/fundraising for the American Heart Association. She was also a major promoter of the American Heart Association’s Have-A-Heart Bass Classic held at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.
She is survived by her mother Margaret (Peggy) Burnside, daughters April Cook and Amanda Harvey, son John Marcus Gallagher, and brother Barry Burnside.
She was preceded in death by her father William (Billy) Burnside, sisters Mary Burnside and Candas Armstrong, and brother David Burnside. Donna has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and loving friends.
A private graveside service will be held at the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
